Raising Children
Raising Children is for parents and carers of children aged 0-16. It is not a series of rights and wrongs, but a course designed to help you develop a positive approach to raising your own unique and individual children.
Over 5 evenings, we look at issues that affect every family, such as: developing good communication, discipline and setting boundaries, expressing love to your child, establishing rhythms and routines, preparing for the next stage of parenting as your children get older, and also how to parent effectively when it comes to online issues and the world of social media.
Raising Children is not a course that will tell you how to be a ‘good parent’, but it will give you time and space to think through what you want for your family, and provide you with the tools to help you achieve this. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, with wine and refreshments. There is an opportunity for group discussion with other parents and carers, as well as time and space to think through the topics on your own or with your partner.
This is a taste of what previous participants thought about the course:
“This is a brilliant course. Lovely team who lead it – open and honest about family life, including mistakes made! We really felt comfortable, at ease and had fun.”
“Very helpful, inspiring, and challenging. I don’t think there has been an area that hasn’t been useful.”
“It has definitely been instrumental in giving me a wealth of knowledge and thoughts to take and hopefully put into practice to become a better daddy.”
“Lets you talk in a way that you can’t really do at home/alone/without a group, and that’s so valuable for a healthy family.”
