Lent at STC

Lent is a season of preparation before the greatest celebration of the year! We’d love to invite you to join us in prayer as we reflect on God’s presence and leading in our lives and prepare and consider all God is yet to do for each one of us. We will meet in the worship area each day at 9am for 30 minutes. Everyone’s welcome to join!

 

 

Sunday 14th April

Palm Sunday // 10.30am // All Age Gathering

A one-hour all-age gathering as we head into Holy Week – join us to hear the first part of the Easter story.  There will be songs, stories and a message from the Bible, followed by great refreshments.

Monday 15th – Thursday 18th April

PRAYERS // 9am // 30 minutes // staff led

A great way to focus on Jesus!

  • Monday – Thanksgiving
  • Tuesday – A reflection from Ephesians
  • Wednesday – Prayer for healing
  • Thursday – Prayer for the life of the church and for leaders
  • Friday – Prayers for those in need

MEDITATIONS // 8pm // 45 minutes

A powerful time of reflection, with time to pray and reflect on songs and visuals, along with a short thought from the Bible from a different speaker each evening.  We’ll also share Communion on Thursday as we remember Jesus’ last supper with his friends.

 

Friday 19th April

Good Friday // 10AM // Family Gathering

A one-hour all age gathering with songs, prayers, and a short message from the Bible, followed by coffee and hot cross buns.

Good Friday // 12-3PM // Three Hours at the Cross

A quiet time of reflection, with Bible readings, music and stillness. The time is divided into six half-hour sections, so you can come for part of the time or the whole three hours as we read through Jesus’ journey to the cross.

 

Sunday 21st April

Easter Sunday // 10.30AM // All Age Gathering

A one-hour all-age gathering with all the drama of Easter day… do join us for worship songs, visuals and a message from the Bible as we hear the triumphant end to the Easter story and celebrate together.

 

Sunday 28th April

10.30AM & 7PM // Review Sunday

A special Sunday when we look back over the previous year giving thanks, and look forward with great excitement to all God will do this year at STC.
