Projects

Crookes Foodbank & Broomhall Foodbank

At STC we work in partnership with S6 Foodbank which is run from St Thomas Philadelphia, the largest Foodbank in Sheffield with 11 distribution points and part of the Trussell Trust Foodbank Network.

The aim is to create a safe space where people are welcomed and treated with dignity and respect.  As well as providing food we seek, where possible, to help people move on from their current circumstances so that they will not need to continue to access the Foodbank. When appropriate prayer is offered and there are conversations about Jesus and faith.

The two Foodbanks are run by volunteers.  There are different roles within the Foodbanks both involving beneficiary contact and not.

Broomhall Foodbank runs on Mondays 10.30am-12 noon // Crookes Foodbank runs on Tuesdays 2pm-3pm // Please note that no food can be distributed outside of these times.
