 Bible base: Colossians 4:2-6 – “Surrendering frustrations leads to freedom”
The apostle Paul wrote to the Colossian church while living under house arrest.  He was experiencing personal restrictions and yet asked the Colossian Church to join with him in praying that God might ‘open a door’ for mission.In this current season of Covid – that’s a huge challenge!  Are we asking those same questions?  Should we?  Is that realistic in this season?

  1. As you read through Colossians 4:2-6  what strikes you?  What challenges you?  What do you find difficult about what Paul might be suggesting?
  2.  Frustration with the season can impede our ability to see the opportunities if all we see is the challenges.  How can we move to a place where we see possibilities?  If Paul’s heart was for an open door – is this ours?  Discuss.
  3. Paul’s view of prayer is one of intercession – a continual prayer which comes from a deep place of intimacy and surrender.  Surrender is the key!  Where might be the Spirit be calling you to surrender your frustrations and disappointments this season?
