We’re an exciting and growing community in Crookes that seeks to be defined by three key things: friendship, God and action!
If you’re aged between 11-18, then this is the perfect place for you to come and hang out, meet friends, discover what it means to have faith and get inspired about how you can make a difference in the places that matter to you.
We love welcoming new people so why not come along and check out what we do. In the meantime, if you or your parents/carers have any questions about Defined Youth Church you can contact us using the details on this page.
Year 7 – 8
A fun and enthusiastic community where we play games, hang out and discuss the stuff that matters to us. We love getting alongside each other and hanging out as friends on a Friday evening.
Year 9 – 11
A fun, chilled environment in which everyone is welcome. We love to hang out over a hot drink, play some crazy games, and explore the Christian faith to live it out in our personal lives.
Year 12 – 13
A great hangout space where anyone can come and share what they really think. We love chatting over a hot drink and eating snacks while we talk about faith in Jesus and encourage each other to live life to the full.
On Sundays, at the 10.30am gathering, STC Youth (11+) meet in the balcony area. We then leave the gathering to have breakfast together. We play games and learn about how to live a life for Jesus in the 21st century.
Many of our youth come along to the 7pm gathering later in the evening. This is a great way to meet God and experience powerful collective worship with the church family. The gathering is aimed at youth, students and young adults. We gather at the front of Church; come and find us!
Defined Live – our monthly evenings of live music and great entertainment. One not to miss!
Weekend Away – our weekend away gives us opportunities to worship and hear from God together as well as lots of times for games, food and spending time as a community.
Soul Survivor – every year we take a group from STC Youth to Soul Survivor. A Christian festival, Soul Survivor gives our young people a chance to meet with others their own age, hear relevant messages, worship together and work out how to pitch a tent in the rain! We always have an amazing life changing time.
The Shine Project has been developed to support secondary schools in the delivery of their SMSC curriculum. Our team of gifted communicators and talented musicians offer a creative and relevant approach to delivering this area of study.
